Carpet Cleaning
The FIVE STAR recipe for carpet cleaning greatness
Our Method

We are asked everyday what process we use to clean carpets. There’s a lot of information out there on what method is best, but there’s only one method which is endorsed by the largest carpet manufacturers in the world – the hot water extraction method (commonly referred to as “steam” cleaning). In fact, did you know that most carpet and textile manufacturers actually require extraction cleaning only in order to maintain the warranty?

The oft-mentioned and maligned pitfall of this method of carpet cleaning is the wet carpet left behind after cleaning and the extended drying times which occur as a result. It’s absolutely true that carpet which is left too wet for too long not only has a negative comfort and convenience factor for the homeowner, but can result in costly property damage and serious health concerns resulting from mold or mildew growth.

What most people don’t realize is this is not a pitfall which can’t be overcome – you just need the right tools at your disposal to get the job done right. Which leads us to our next pillar of excellence …

Our Equipment

Sapphire Scientific 570

The most seasoned pros in our industry know that the results you can hope to expect are only as good as the equipment you employ to get the job done. Even the most highly-trained and experienced cleaning technician can’t overcome the limitations of inferior or outdated equipment.

Naturally, we only use equipment which is considered to be best in the industry. We aren’t exaggerating when we say our Sapphire Scientific 570 Truckmounts deliver simply amazing results for even the most challenging and difficult of jobs. We won’t bore you with the specifications, but let’s just say that our machines deliver the incredible heat and vacuum power to not only leave your carpets cleaner and fresher than they’ve ever been, but drastically reduce drying times as well.

Our Process
We take a lot of pride in our work. We are not a “wham-bam” type of company looking to get in and out as quickly as possible. Performance, quality, and results matter to us – as well as your happiness. For that reason, we have formulated a tried-and-true process for cleaning your carpets which we’ve found achieves the best possible end result for our valued customers.
  • Step 1: Pre-Inspection A Top Notch cleaning starts with a proper pre-inspection. Your service technician will inspect your carpet and notate any particular areas of concern. He may also advise you of any possible permanent staining.
  • Step 2: Pre-Vacuum Removing dry soils is an important and often-overlooked part of the cleaning process. If needed, your carpet will be pre-vacuumed to remove bonded dry soil. This is in addition to the vacuuming that takes place throughout the entire cleaning process.
  • Step 3: Furniture Moving Sofas, chairs and tables will be carefully moved. Larger items such as beds, dressers, entertainment centers, hutches, and other large items are left in place. Furniture as well as floors will be protected with disposable blocks and tabs as needed.
  • Step 4: Pre-Condition & Pre-Spot Treatment Traffic areas and spots are pre-treated for more effective soil and spot removal.
  • Step 5: Pre-Groom If needed, your carpet will be pre-groomed with a carpet groomer (depends on the soil level) to further loosen traffic area soiling and activate our products.
  • Step 6: Extract & Rinse Once the soil has been loosened, our state-of-the-art truck-mounted hot water extraction process will thoroughly rinse the carpet pile. Pressure and heat are carefully regulated so that carpet is not over-wet. We rinse the carpet at temperatures ranging between 60-235 degrees depending on the fiber content and soiling condition. This step also improves your air quality by removing the pollens, dust mites, and various other pollutants that are trapped in your carpet.
  • Step 7: Post Spot Treatment If any spots are not removed during the cleaning process, specialty-spotting techniques are employed after a thorough cleaning.
  • Step 8: Carpet Protection Application (optional but recommended) Carpets protected with Maxim Advanced Protector, clean up easier and stay clean longer.
  • Step 9: Speed Dry If needed, high velocity air movers will be placed in the room to speed dry the carpet.
